What are additional items, and how do they work?

How players add extras like rackets, balls and drinks to a booking, the two-step setup and which bookings they can be added to.

Additional items are extras players can add to a booking at checkout, such as a rental racket, a tube of balls or a drink. You set them up in two steps: create the item in Shop → Inventory, then offer it at checkout in Shop → Additional Items.

The two steps

  • Inventory is your product list. Here you set the item's name, description, image, tax rate, price (including cohort prices) and stock.

  • Additional Items decides which of those items are offered at checkout, when, how many per checkout and in what order.

An item only appears at checkout once it is added and active in Additional Items.

Which bookings players can add items to

  • Court bookings.

  • Public and private matches.

  • Private coaching.

  • Joining a booking, including activities.

  • Paying an unpaid booking payment.

Items can't be added to league rounds, league match scheduling, memberships or wallet purchases. You can't limit an item to certain booking types.

What players see

  • In the mobile app: "Add something extra?" at checkout, with View all to see every item.

  • On the web: an "Additional items" window with "Add something extra to your booking."

  • The items then show in the booking details and on the receipt.

Where you see them

  • In the booking in your calendar, under Purchased Items.

Examples

  • Rental racket

  • Tube of balls

  • Water bottle or towel

  • Sports drink or protein bar

Good to know

  • An item is hidden at checkout (not greyed out) when it is out of stock, outside its allowed days and times, or has no price for the player's cohort.

  • Discount codes don't apply to additional items.

  • Additional items are refunded in full when a player cancels within your rules, even if the booking itself only gets a partial refund.
