How do I create a match for players to join?

Create a public or private match from the schedule with a level range, gender setting and payment type.

You can create public and private matches from the schedule. You choose the level range, who can join by gender and, for private matches, whether players split the payment. Public matches then show in the app for players to join.

How to create a match

  1. Go to Calendar → Schedule.

  2. Click or drag on an empty slot on one court.

  3. Under Booking type, choose Public Match or Private Match.

  4. For a private match, choose Payment type: Split payment or Full payment. Public matches are always split payment.

  5. Choose Gender: Any, Male only or Female only.

  6. Set the Level range (minimum and maximum). It starts at 1 to 7, which lets anyone join.

  7. Optionally add a Lead booker and Joiners, and choose how each of them pays. You can leave the match open with no players.

  8. Click Create.

What players see

  • Public matches appear in the app (and in your website widget, if you have one) for players to join.

  • Private matches don't appear in public lists. Players join through the match link or an invite.

Good to know

  • Matches can only be created on one court, and only for padel and tennis.

  • There is no age setting for matches.

  • Matches you create always use the level range you set as Required.

  • Public matches and split-payment private matches follow your automatic cancellation rules. If the match would be cancelled almost straight away, you'll see "This match would be auto-cancelled within minutes. Add players, or make it a private match without split payment." Create it further ahead, add players, or use a full-payment private match.

  • Automatic cancellation rules are on Settings → Rules & Limits → Auto-Cancellation.
