What is the difference between an ongoing and a temporary membership?

Find out the difference between ongoing (recurring) and temporary (fixed-date) membership types in Nettla.

Written by Nettla

An ongoing membership is a weekly, monthly, or yearly membership that either runs until the end of the period, or is auto-renewed based on a setting that you choose. If you toggle on auto-renewal, it’s essentially a subscription similar to popular apps like Netflix or Spotify.

A temporary membership has defined dates to them, and you can select either ”number of days” or a ”definite start and end date”. This membership type is commonly used for special periods such as ”summer membership” or ”winter membership”
