What you need before you start
An active Mailchimp account
1️⃣ Generate your Mailchimp API Key
Log in to your Mailchimp account
Click your profile icon (top right) → Profile
Go to Extras → API keys
Under Your API keys, click Create A Key
Name the key (e.g. Nettla Data)
Click Generate Key
Copy the API key and save it somewhere safe
⚠️ You will not be able to see the API key again after closing this page
2️⃣ Find your Audience ID
In Mailchimp, go to Audience
Next to the page title (Contacts), click More options (or) ⋯
Select Audience settings
Copy your Audience ID
3️⃣ Add Mailchimp to Nettla
Go to Nettla Admin → Settings → Integrations
Open Mailchimp Settings (gear icon)
Enable User events → Click Save
Click the Mailchimp logo
Paste your Mailchimp API Key
Paste your Audience ID
Enter your Datacenter ID
⚠️ Your Datacenter ID is the last characters of your Mailchimp API key, for example "us20"
Note
It can take up to 5 minutes before your Nettla contacts appear in Mailchimp
Once connected:
✅ Your player data will sync to Mailchimp automatically
✅ You can segment your players based on attributes, membership, or collections in Mailchimp
✅ Automate marketing emails using Mailchimp's tools
