Can a player pay with their club wallet and a card together?

Usually yes: the wallet is used first and the rest is paid by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Here are the exceptions.

Written by Nettla

Usually yes. If the wallet balance doesn't cover the full price, the player uses what's left in the wallet and pays the rest by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

When a wallet and card can't be combined

In these cases the wallet balance must cover the whole amount on its own, or the player pays fully by card:

  • The player is the lead booker of a court booking and chooses Pay your part.

  • Entering a league round.

  • Scheduling a league match.

This is because Nettla holds the full amount at checkout in these cases, and a hold can't be split between a wallet and a card.

Example

  • A player has £20 in their wallet.

  • They book a court and choose Pay your part. Their own share is £8, but £32 is held for the whole court.

  • £20 doesn't cover £32, so the wallet can't be used on this booking.

  • The same player joining someone else's booking for £8 could pay with the wallet.

Good to know

  • Mixing is allowed when a player pays their own share of a match or a private coaching session.

  • If the player has a discount code, they must apply it before the wallet. A code can't be added once the wallet has been applied.

  • Other reasons a wallet can't be used are listed in "Why can't a player use their club wallet?".
