Are discounts applied per player or per court?

Cohort prices apply per player by default. Here's how shares are worked out, and how to give a whole-court discount.

Written by Nettla

Per player, by default. Only players in the cohort get the discounted price, and only for their own share of the court. You can switch on Apply full court discount on a cohort so its members get the discount for the whole court when they pay in full.

The examples below use a 4-player court for 1 hour, a normal price of £40 per hour and a member price of £24 per hour.

Pay your part (split payment)

Each player pays their own price divided by the number of players.

  • The member pays £24 ÷ 4 = £6.

  • Each non-member pays £40 ÷ 4 = £10.

Paid in full by one player

The lead booker pays their own discounted share, plus the normal price for the other shares.

  • A member paying in full pays £6 + 3 × £10 = £36.

  • Other members joining the booking don't lower this amount.

Full court discount

With Apply full court discount switched on for the cohort, a member who pays in full pays the member price for the whole court: £24.

To switch it on:

  1. Go to Players → Cohorts.

  2. Open the cohort.

  3. In the Discount settings card, switch on Apply full court discount.

  4. Click Save.

It applies when a lead booker in that cohort pays in full for a court booking or a private match.

Good to know

  • The number of shares comes from the court's Allowed player counts under Settings → Courts.

  • Players can always choose between paying their part and paying in full for court bookings. You can't turn either option off.

  • Examples use £. Your prices are in your club's currency.
