What's the difference between standard and special period price lists?

Standard lists are your everyday prices. Special period lists replace them on chosen courts and dates.

A standard price list is your everyday pricing, and each court has exactly one. A special period price list is for temporary or future pricing on the courts you choose. While a special list is active on a court, it replaces that court's standard list completely.

Standard price lists

  • You choose a court's standard list under Settings → Courts → (court) → Edit → Prices.

  • Start date and End date are optional. Leave both blank to keep the list active from now on.

  • If a standard list has a future start date or a past end date, the courts using it can't be booked.

Special period price lists

  • Create them under Settings → Price Lists → Special Period Price Lists → Add price list (or Create new price list if you have none).

  • They have the same Prices and Opening days and times as a standard list, plus a Courts card where you choose the courts.

  • Use them for holiday or low-season pricing, a temporary promotion or surge price, or a price change from a future date.

Rules you must know

  1. A special list replaces the standard list. It doesn't merge with it. Any hour the special list doesn't price can't be booked during its dates, so price every hour you want open, including off-peak variants and cohort prices.

  2. A special list needs a Start date or an End date. With neither, it never applies.

  3. With only a start date, it applies from that date onwards with no end. With only an end date, it applies from now until that date.

  4. Dates are whole days in your club's timezone, from the start of the start date to the end of the end date.

  5. All courts ticks the courts you have today. Courts you add later aren't included automatically. Open the list's ⋮ → Edit and tick the new court.

  6. Don't give a court two special lists with overlapping dates. Nettla doesn't guarantee which one is used.

Good to know

  • Bookings already made keep their price when you create or change a list.

  • Special lists support everything standard lists do: peak and off-peak variants, cohort prices, longer-booking discounts and members-only times.
