In Nettla, revenue is shown on the day a booking or purchase is initiated. So if 10 players book today for sessions taking place in the future, that amount appears in todayโs revenue report. If a player decides to cancel the booking and receives a refund, Nettla retroactively corrects the revenue insights on an ongoing basis.
Stripe, on the other hand, works a little differently. Payments are reserved at booking but only captured when the session takes place. This means your Stripe balance may not increase until the actual date when the session takes place.
Example in Nettla: A player books on June 1st for a June 6th session โ Nettla shows the revenue on June 1st.
Example in Stripe: The same booking is only charged (captured) on June 6th โ Stripe shows the payment on June 6th.
If a booking is cancelled, Nettla updates past dates figures automatically.
๐ Use Nettla to track sales activity, and Stripe to track when money is actually received and paid out to your bank account.
