What is a membership grace period?

Let members keep their benefits for 1–14 days after a billing cycle ends, for example while a failed payment is retried.

A grace period lets players keep their membership benefits for a set number of days (1–14) after their billing cycle ends. It's useful when a renewal payment fails and needs time to be retried.

If the payment succeeds during the grace period, the membership becomes active again. If the grace period ends without payment, the membership is cancelled.

Set a grace period

  1. Go to Players → Memberships.

  2. Create a membership, or click ⋮ on one and choose Edit.

  3. Under pricing, switch on the billing cycle you want (Weekly, Monthly or Yearly).

  4. Switch on Auto renewal and auto payment.

  5. Switch on Grace period and choose the number of days.

  6. Click Save.

When it's useful

  • A member's card payment fails at renewal. They keep their benefits while the payment is retried or they update their card.

  • Members imported from another booking system also get the grace period when their imported membership ends, so they don't lose access straight away.

Good to know

  • The grace period is optional.

  • It is only available on billing cycles with Auto renewal and auto payment switched on.

  • Temporary memberships and memberships without auto-renewal can't have a grace period.

  • During the grace period the membership shows the status GracePeriod.
