An ongoing membership runs in weekly, monthly or yearly cycles and can renew automatically. A temporary membership has a fixed start date and end date, for example a summer membership.

Ongoing memberships

  • You can offer weekly, monthly and yearly cycles. Switch on the ones you want.

  • With Auto renewal and auto payment on, the player is charged automatically each cycle, like a subscription.

  • With it off, the membership simply ends after one cycle.

  • Auto-renewing cycles can also have a contract period, a free period at the start and a grace period.

  • You can add a one-time joining fee.

Temporary memberships

  • Set a Start date and an End date. The end date is required.

  • Every holder's membership ends on the same end date.

  • Pro rata pricing is on by default. Players who buy after the start date pay less for the shorter time left.

  • No automatic renewal, free period or grace period.

Good to know

  • Choose the type when you click Create membership. You can't change it later.

  • If you change a temporary membership's end date, the expiry changes for everyone who already holds it.
