How long can Nettla reserve money on a player's account?

How long Nettla can reserve money on a player's card before it must be captured or cancelled.

Written by Nettla

Due to card issuer rules, such as VISA, Mastercard, and AmEx, Nettla can reserve money on a player’s card for 6 days.

After 6 days, Nettla has to either cancel or charge the reservation amount. If Nettla does not do this, there is a risk that you will lose the income from this player’s purchase.

For court booking pay your part sessions, this 6-day window has a direct impact on how charges and refunds appear. If a session is booked more than 6 days in advance, the lead booker's reserved amount will be captured (charged) on day 6, regardless of whether the session has taken place yet. This is required by card network rules and is handled automatically by Nettla. After the session ends, the system calculates the final split and issues any applicable refund to the lead booker. Admins do not need to take any action — the process is fully automated.
