What are company-wide activity types?

Set up an activity type once at company level and let your clubs connect to it, so details stay the same everywhere.

Written by Nettla

A company-wide activity type is an activity, such as a beginner class, that you set up once at company level. Clubs connect their own activity type to it. The details and settings then come from the company and stay in sync, while each club sets its own prices and coaches.

Create a company-wide activity type

  1. Open your company from the Dashboard.

  2. Go to Play → Activities and open Types.

  3. Click Add activity type.

  4. Fill in the details and settings.

  5. Under Clubs, switch on the clubs that may connect to it.

  6. Click Save.

Connect a club to it

In the club, go to Play → Activities and either:

  • create a new activity type and choose Start from a company activity type, or

  • open an existing activity type and use Connect to a company activity type, then click Connect.

What the company controls

Name, description, image, sport, categories, visibility, level settings, ages, genders, minimum and maximum participants, registration closes and auto-cancel hours. These are read-only at the club.

What each club controls

Prices, organising coaches, tax and when registration opens.

Good to know

  • When you change a company activity type, connected club types and their future sessions update too.

  • Connected types show a Company badge at the club.

  • A club can click Disconnect to stop receiving company updates. Its type keeps its current details and becomes fully editable. It can connect again later.

  • Company activity categories also appear at your clubs, read-only.

  • Turning a club off under Clubs doesn't disconnect a type that is already connected.
