Create an activity type in Play → Activities → Types with Add activity type. The type holds the name, image, price and default rules that every session of the activity starts with.
How to create an activity type
Go to Play → Activities.
Open Types.
Click Add activity type.
Fill in the Details: Name, Description, Image, Sport (if your club has several sports) and Activity category.
Under Prices, set the Standard Price and add any cohort prices.
Under Settings, set the rules (see below).
Click Save.
Settings
Organising coaches: the coaches running the activity.
Registration Opens: Use default club settings, or set your own window.
Custom Tax Rate: use a different tax rate from your club's standard rate.
Minimum participants and Maximum participants.
Auto cancel activity: how many hours before the start the session is cancelled if it hasn't reached the minimum (0 turns it off).
Registration closes: hours before the start. Don't rely on this as a strict cut-off for sign-ups.
Level range: Required or Optional, with From and To.
All genders can attend and All ages can attend (turn off to set Minimum age and Maximum age).
Hide activity type in mobile app and widget.
Good to know
The price is a flat amount per session, whatever the session length (the help text next to the price field mentions an hourly rate, but the price is not multiplied by the length). For a linked course, it is the price of the whole course.
Most settings can be changed for an individual session when you schedule or edit it.
The Sport can't be changed once the type has sessions.
If your company shares activity types between clubs, choose Start from a company activity type at the top of the form.
After saving, use the link button on the type page (Copy the player app link to this activity type) to share it with players.
