Activity Categories, Types, and Sessions

The Activity feature in Nettla is built with three key layers that work together to give your club full flexibility and control when creating and managing activities.

Here’s how each layer works:

Activity Category

Activity Categories help you group similar activity types together, making it easier for players to discover what interests them.

  • Categories appear in the Nettla mobile app and your website widget

  • You can assign multiple Activity Types to a single category

  • Examples: Juniors, Tournaments, Social Play, Lessons

Activity Type

The Activity Type acts as a template that defines the name, description, and image for a recurring or one-time activity.

  • Think of it as the “blueprint” for a type of session

  • You create it once and reuse it whenever you schedule new sessions

  • Saves time when building your weekly or seasonal activity schedule

Activity Session

An Activity Session is the actual scheduled event—a specific day and time the activity takes place.

  • When scheduling a session, you select the Activity Type it belongs to

  • You can customize session-specific settings (e.g., capacity or court location) without changing the main template

  • Great for fine-tuning one session without affecting the entire series

This structure lets you organize your activities efficiently, reuse templates, and deliver a seamless experience for both staff and players.
