Activities in Nettla have three layers. A category groups similar activities for players. An activity type is the template with the name, price and rules. A session is one date and time of that activity in your schedule.
Activity category
Groups activity types so players can browse them in the app and website widget, for example Juniors, Socials or Courses.
Has only a Name and an Image.
Found in Play → Activities → Categories.
Activity type
The template for an activity. You create it once and use it every time you schedule a session. It holds:
Details: name, description, image, sport and category.
Prices: a standard price per session and any cohort prices.
Settings: organising coaches, when registration opens, tax, and default rules such as minimum and maximum participants, automatic cancellation, level range, gender and age limits.
Found in Play → Activities → Types.
Activity session
One scheduled date and time of an activity type, on one or more courts.
Created from Calendar → Schedule.
Starts with the type's settings. You can change settings for one session without changing the type.
Sessions can repeat as independent sessions (players sign up for each date) or as a linked course (players sign up once for all dates).
Good to know
Editing a type also updates its future sessions, except settings you changed on a session. See "How do I edit an activity type, and does it change scheduled sessions?".
The price is a flat price per session. For a linked course, it is the price of the whole course.
