How do I read revenue in my Stripe Dashboard?

Why Stripe's payment analytics show gross sales, and where to find your net revenue after refunds and fees.

Written by Nettla

Stripe's payment analytics show gross sales: all successful charges, even if some were later refunded. To see what you actually keep after refunds and fees, use Stripe's balance reports.

What Stripe's payment analytics show

  • All successful charges in the period.

  • Refunds are not deducted, so the figure can look higher than what you keep.

  • Stripe's fees and Nettla's fees are not deducted.

How to find your net revenue

  • Check your Stripe balance reports. They show charges, refunds, fees and payouts together.

  • Or filter your payments by refunded and partially refunded to see what was returned.

Good to know

  • Stripe amounts include Nettla's booking fee, if your club has one. Nettla's own insights don't include it.

  • Stripe's balance, payout and revenue reports count a booking when it's charged (after the session or on day 6), while Nettla's Sales activity shows it on the day it was bought.

  • See "Why don't Nettla's numbers match Stripe?" for all the reasons the totals differ.
