Understanding Revenue in Stripe

When you log in to your Stripe Dashboard, the Payments → Analytics section shows you all successful purchases made through your account. However, it’s important to know that:

  • These numbers include all successful charges, even if some of them were later refunded.

  • Refunds are not deducted from the analytics view. This means the revenue shown there can look higher than what you actually keep.

  • To see your true net revenue (after refunds), you’ll need to:

    • Check the Transactions page and filter for “Refunded” payments, or

    • Review your Balance reports, which give a net view including refunds and payouts.

👉 In short: Stripe Analytics = gross sales, not net income. Always cross-check with your Balance reports if you need the actual revenue after refunds.
