Nettla Padel Levels Algorithm

Nettla uses a smart algorithm to continuously update player levels, based on both match results and player activity.

Match Scores

When a match ends, all players are asked to submit the score. Once confirmed, Nettla automatically adjusts each player’s level and shares the updated results within 1 hour.

The algorithm considers several factors, including:

  • Win or loss

  • How close or one-sided the score was

  • Opponents’ levels

  • Partner’s level

  • Differences between players’ levels

Player feedback

After confirming scores, players can also rate each opponent and partner as “as expected,” “higher,” or “lower.”

  • This feedback is anonymous (players don’t see what others selected).

  • It is factored into the algorithm to refine level adjustments.

Reliability Percentage

Each player also has a Reliability %, which reflects both:

  • The total number of matches played

  • How active they have been recently

The higher the reliability score, the more certain you and other players can be that their level represents how well they perform on the court.
