With automation on, Nettla gives players a benefit as soon as they submit your form. You choose who qualifies (every player, or only those who verify an email address on a set domain) and what they get (a cohort, club wallet credit or both).
Set up automation
Go to Players → Smart Forms and open the form.
Open the Automation tab.
Switch on Enable Automation.
Under Apply Automation To, choose:
All players who submit this form, or
Only players who verify with a specific email domain, then enter it in Email address ends with.
Optional: switch on Automatically add player to a cohort and choose the cohort.
Optional: under Automatically remove player from cohort, choose Never, After certain number of days or On a specific date.
Optional: switch on Automatically add club wallet, choose the wallet and the Amount of balance.
Click Save.
Email domain verification
The player must enter an email address that ends with your domain, for example nottingham.ac.uk.
Nettla sends a code to that address. The player enters it to prove they have access.
It doesn't need to be the email on their Nettla account.
Good to know
With All players who submit this form, every submission is approved automatically.
Removing players from the cohort automatically is useful for yearly student offers or trial periods.
Without automation, you approve each submission yourself. See "How do I review and approve Smart Form submissions?".
