Booking limits are rules that control how much players can book at your club. There are two kinds. A booking limit is a hard cap: once a player reaches it, they can't book more. A benefit limit limits a member price: members keep booking, but pay the standard price once their allowance is used up.
Booking limits are switched on by Nettla. Not every club has them. If you don't see Booking limits under Settings in the sidebar, your club doesn't have the feature yet. Contact Nettla to switch it on. Once it's on, you create and edit the limits yourself.
Booking limit ("Limit bookings")
Players can't book past the allowance, for example 180 minutes per week.
It can apply to all players or only to selected cohorts.
When a player hits the limit, the app tells them: "You have reached a booking limit for this club."
Use it to share court time fairly, or to stop all-inclusive members from filling peak hours.
Benefit limit ("Limit a member benefit")
Members keep their cohort price up to the allowance, for example 300 minutes per week at the Gold Member price.
After that they can still book, but they pay the price they would pay without that cohort (usually the standard price).
It always applies to selected cohorts.
Use it to control how far a member discount or free-booking benefit stretches.
Examples
All players can have at most 4 hours of upcoming court bookings at any one time.
Juniors get the junior price for up to 2 sessions per week.
All-inclusive members can book up to 120 minutes per week during peak hours.
Where to find it
Go to Settings → Booking limits. Companies with several clubs also have Settings → Booking limits at company level. See "How do company-wide booking limits work?".
Good to know
You can have as many rules as you like. See "What happens when several limits apply to the same player?".
Bookings you create as an admin aren't blocked by booking limits, but benefit limits still apply to the price.
