Visual explanation: cohorts, membership types and individual players

Diagrams of the ways you can combine membership types and individual players in a cohort.

Written by Nettla

A cohort gives everyone in it the same prices and benefits. The diagrams below show common ways to build one.

One membership type plus individual players

Everyone with the membership, plus players without it that you add by hand, share the same benefits.

Several membership types

For example Junior Member and Adult Member. Everyone with either membership shares the same benefits.

Individual players with something in common

For example employees of a partner company. You add them by hand, by import or with a Smart Form.

Other ways to fill a cohort

  • Sub-cohorts: put one cohort inside another. For example, "All members" can contain "Juniors" and "Adults".

  • Dynamic rules: players are added automatically if they match a gender, age range or level. See "What are dynamic cohorts?".
